New iCVT shifter mechanism
The most recent development of the iCVT includes a radically simplified oscillating shifting mechanism that replaces the Geneva wheel based shifter mechanism. This Oscillating shifter is driven by a barrel cam, coupled to a locking mechanism that results in accurate high speed shifting.
A model of the iCVT featuring the Oscillating shifter has been completed and an animation video will follow soon. See picture to the right and below. This model also features a silent (rocker pin) type chain.
RotorCVT inline configuration
A model of the rotorCVT in an inline configuration has also been completed. This configuration allows for a smaller overall reduction, as is required by small and micro cars that need to travel at a maximum speed of more than 100 km/h. See pictures below. A video clip will follow soon.
